Open daily, except Mondays (and Tuesdays in January and February), from 10am-4pmCarpenter's Hall is open to the public from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Tuesday through Sunday and, therefore, cannot be rented during those hours.

Coloring Books

Some 150 men and women, all of them prominent architects, building contractors or structural engineers, carry on the 300-year tradition of the Carpenters' Company of the City and County of Philadelphia — giving form to the future. From the 18th-century members who erected Independence Hall, Christ Church and Carpenters' Hall to the members of today, innovation in design and technical achievement have contributed to their pre-eminent reputation.

Master Builder Dialogues

  • Dreams & Themes with Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown. First in a biannual series of Master Builder Dialogues (November 19, 2005)

    Volunteer Qualifications: Previous volunteer or job experience interacting with people Enthusiasm, maturity, common sense, dedication, initiative and reliability Passion for history, specifically American History Ability to make information accessible and interesting to others

    Rental: Rental Fee is for a four hour event period: $2,500 (not including set-up and takedown time) Time allotment may be extended with special permission from the Managing Committee at a cost of $250 for every additional hour. Site Supervision Fee: $150 Total Rental Fees: $2,650 $1,250 deposit must be returned promptly with the signed rental agreement. The balance is due ten business days prior to the event. The event will not take place without the full payment in hand.The Customer is required to obtain and maintain for customer and anyone who is providing a service for the event, comprehensive general liability insurance including: contractual liability insurance with a minimum combined single limit for personal injury (including death) and property damage of $1,000,000 for any occurrence; statutory limits for worker's compensation coverage; $500,000 liquor liability; and $1,000,000 business automobile liability, all in a form satisfactory to the Company.
