Throughout the year, PAFA presents special exhibitions, an outstanding permanent collection, and work by some of the region's most talented contemporary artists. Visit our galleries in the Historic Landmark Building, designed by Frank Furness and George W. Hewitt, and the new Samuel M. V. Hamilton Building.

The Academy attracts some of the most promising art students from all over the globe. They may be working towards a full-time degree program in the School of Fine Arts or simply want to enrich their lives with courses from our Continuing Education offerings.

Prospective School of Fine Arts students: The PAFA Office of Admissions is here to assist you in learning more about our amazing faculty, facilities, and students. We offer individual portfolio reviews and individual and group tours of the school and our historic Cast Hall.  Please schedule a visit to learn more about what makes the Academy an exceptional art school.

  • Scedule A Tour: Docent Tours meet in the lobby of the Museum and feature the Highlights of the Permanent Collection.  Please check in with the front desk on the day of your visit for specific details.

    Tuesday - Sunday, 1 - 1:45 p.m. and 2 - 2:45 p.m.

    Tours are free with admission.

  • Facility Rentals : Few settings in Philadelphia can offer a more gracious elegance than the galleries of the Academy's Historic Landmark Building. Opened in 1876 for the nation's Centennial Exposition and World's Fair, its unique architectual detail and breathtaking artwork makes the Historic Landmark Building a true jewel box setting for your next event.
